25th bday!

Epi burpday 2 u..

The 1st birthday wish, it is from my sister Husna. Now am officially 25 years living on earth. Still in good health Alhamdulillah, with good family and hope me and my family is blessed with peaceful and bright future insyaAllah. There so much i want to say today..so much i want to share..my du'as, what i want, what i feel and everything.

on my 25th birthday i prayed for..

* Forgiveness from Allah:
O Allah, I seek forgiveness for every sin, I committed, about which, of course, You know inside and out, from the beginning to the end of my life, whether committed deliberately or intentionally, few or many, abstruse or manifest, old or new, secretly carried out or openly done; and for whatever wrong I have done I turn repentant unto You and beseech You to bless Muhammad and the children of Muhammad and forgive all my unjust acts I did to wrong the people (because they have rights which I have to recognize and fulfill) but You have full authority to forgive those wrongdoings whenever and howsoever You wish, O the most merciful.

* My Parents & Family :
My Lord! bestow on my parents Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood,

O my Lord, Grant me that i may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that i may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be
gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam.

Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter,
and defend us from the torment of the Fire!

on my 25th birthday i want..

*to be established emotionally and financially..
*to be part of community (in so many ways..using my talent, skills or whatever i have)..i want to contribute somehow someway..
*to help my family
*i wish to have a family of my own but after a long thought i think that will be my last target.

on my 25th birthday i feel like..

*There're so many things that i didn't do..
*Things that i wish for but i didn't get..
*a little regret for my previous relationship
*plain and dumb colors sticking inside my head

This make me thinking about one email (from kauthar) ..as for intro she said shes happy because she still breathing(i should feel the same..since am still have the chance to live on earth and commit myself to Allah) Alhamdulillah. This is her words that i cannot forget..

"...My mind stopped racing and I adopted a slow and mindful approach to everything I did. The strange thing to me was that even though I slowed everything down, I still got my house work done, and I came out the other end of it much more relaxed and pleased with what I achieved. I realised then that putting housework off, or not doing it at all, added to the stress of it. Doing it slowing, one task at a time, gave a rhythm to the day that helped the work flow...hmm maybe this is it...lets slow down...

But it wasn't only the housework that I applied this new philosophy to. It was also my relationships with people. I found that when I slowed down and concentrated on the person I was with, it made a difference. When I stopped thinking about what I would do later in the day, or tomorrow, and gave my thoughts as well as my time to the person I was with, I gave more and got a lot more in return. When I gave my best, they gave their best too....coz at the end of the day...we are only humans...

today im here...mayb tomorow im gone...at least my frens will make prayers for me...i hope!.."

This is her words..for me. am sorry kauthar(now i feel like crying) what u said all true. I need to forget all of this nonsense in my life. I have to move on. Yeah. I will try..

Eidul adha

This eidul adha also known as the feast of sacrifice in islam. It is the major celebration for muslims after the conclusions of Hajj.

We took our chance to return back to our kampung (Sayong masjid, Kuala Kangsar, Perak) last two weeks. I just want to share some exicement that occured before and on the eidul adha. This eidul adha is much more happening because most of relatives return back to kampung (except for mok co-my ummi sister who lives in kedah) <-- means more chaos from our little cousins.

We also celebrating Maryam's (one the cousins) 2 years birthday..come to think of it..there are few of us that born on the same month (December) as Maryam, Mokcik(maryam's mother), Me and Aiman(my brother).. Hah..i missed all the noises made by those little children..watching them playing, arguing, screaming to each other bring back memories of our childhood..wish to become kids again.. nahhh impossible.

I don't know how to rotate this video (please tell me if you'll know how to do it) but enjoy the act of Ensem and Wawa. This movie is takes after the bath (usually we used a special spray for hamsters and rabbits) and my sister Farhanah is the one who captured this video. note: the voices in the video totally not mine..

Desaru in Memory

We've gone to Desaru beach (Located in Johor-Peninsular Malaysia) at end of November. It is unofficial vacation since not all of us could make it and we're just following abah for his training programme (GREEN programme). We stays in Desaru Golden Beach Hotel for 3days. So there is just Abah, Ummi, Farhanah, Aiman and me. The beach scene was fantastic, very panoramic..

We met few new cool people..Saba & Ika (the GREEN admin staff) and Musliha(one of the trainer daughters). We found interesting objects..like the oversize 'siput babi' <--i don't know what they call it in english and abandoned jet ski~..whatever we found or see the thing that matters is we had a very great time there.

Brussels' Flowercarpet

I just knew this event from my virtual friend, Youssef . He live in Belgium and he had captured a very beautiful images from this flower carpet. It is made by thousands of flowers with rolled turf. Surprisingly colorful and attractive Subhanallah.

Some brief info about flower carpet ( check the details here -> http://www.flowercarpet.be/site/main.php?lg=en) :

1. The whole idea comes from the Landscape architect named E. Stautemans in 1971.
2. They're using Begonia flower as the main component because of its qualities (robustness, resistance to bad weather, long live and freshness, rich range of colors which reflect the light so well).

Just search over the internet and you'll get the information about this lovely festival. Thank you brother Youssef for sharing this with me..

Me and Ensem for Today

I've added new diet for Ensem, Wawa, Buu and Tam tam. Usually i gave them carrot and Chinese veggies for additional food. But last week the owner of pet shop suggest me to give them this dried alfalfa. Guess what, they like it so much and did'nt even want to have their rabbit pallet anymore.

Adoi..this make me worried so Ummi suggest not to let them have to much dried alfalfa(dried alfalfa is more expensive compare to their pallet) only sometime wheneve
r we think they should have it. Slowly they start to eat they rabbit pallet (because there is no other choice). Below is my pic captured when Ensem eating dried alfalfa..

Hadith 16 - La Taghdab

Here one of the hadith from forty hadith Imam Nawawi. It is about controlling your anger.

Hadith 16 Arabic text

Abu Hurairah, radiyallahu 'anhu, reported that a man said to the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam:

"Advise me! "The Prophet said, "Do not become angry and furious." The man asked (the same) again and again, and the Prophet said in each case, "Do not become angry and furious."

[Al-Bukhari; Vol. 8 No. 137]

This is a hadith (text from fortyhadith.com) that shows how important for us, muslims to control our anger..i want to post this because this will also be my reminder(somehow i do have problems with anger). We should not act based on anger or while being angry(which sometimes i failed). So hopefully this hadith will be a usefull for all of us.

If i had a baby boy..what his name would be?

Aha..last time i was thinking about girls name..and now the time for boys name. Here a few of names..

Muslim (One who submits to Allah) i like this name the most..hope that i will be given a chance to have my own babies..
Aasim (Person who keeps away from sins)
Afzal (Best, top most)
Aqeel (Wise, intelligent)

I just keep wondering when the special moment will be..?? hmmmm.. never mind

Du'a Tilawah

This song is about du'a tilawah..(the du'a that we read after reciting Al-Quran). It is performed by a Malaysian nasheed group
: Raihan.

Istikhara for Marriage

Again i found a very good website about everyday du'a for muslims..

I want to highlight this du'a..a very important du'a especially for muslims that already thinking about getting married. The best way is to refer to Allah and ask Him for His guidance..

When one desires to make istikhara for marriage, then keep the person in mind when making niyah. Then do wudhu and perform Salaat. Then praise Allah, mention His Greatness and plead:

"O Allah, You have power (control) and I have no control and You know and I do not know, and You know the condition of the Unseen. Thus if You see (deem fit) that this woman (here mention her name) is good for me concerning my Deen, world and Akhirah then grant me her control (make it possible that I marry her) and if besides her there be (another woman) which is better for me concerning Deen and Akhirah then specify her for me (grant me control over he)".

(Hisn)

N.B. A woman should read "him" instead of "her".

Something to Share

Title: Circle of Life
I made this last year..it is about green(environment) and life within it. Butterfly symbolize living creature and the curvy circle with marble green means life. Both of this element should blend (symbiosis, etc <-- i am not a scientist to explain further on this) together to make a sustainable environment. Somehow i want to deliver a message on the importance of our green area..

Title: 247

This occurred when i am in a very depressing situation early of this year.. so i snap on a few images and do some editing. So this is part of the product...

Title: 'NOT SURE'

Seriously..am not sure about this and why i made it. But obviously it show how confused i am during that time.

Reminder: This is just an amateur attempt..nothing to be serious about. But if u like it u can keep it, copyrighted from me though. I just hope i could do much more on poster editing, maybe soon ('',)

The First Thing He Gave Me..

The title defines it all..I got it on last Ramadan but i just got the chance to snap it today. I never taste a Durian Chocolate before, so this gift is special to me. I hope this shows a good sign for our future..ameen

Before i forgot..i've shared it with all of my family members. They think that this chocolate have a unique taste and Abah like it as much as i do ('',) ehemmm..

Introducing..

Surprise surprise! Zubair(my brother) bought a female baby rabbit today. So now Ensem had a company. We named it with Wawa (comes from word 'lawa' means beautiful in english). Things getting tough because we now have 2 naughty rabbits to be taken care of. Actually Wawa more active than Ensem. Maybe because she's still a baby and she's a female rabbit. Naturally female animals are more active than male . So i snap on a few pics of them..they can get along pretty well. Good for us..means we dont have to provide another cage for each one of them hehe :D

This is Wawa..at 1st Zubair named her as Tompok (spot in english) but then ummi changed it to Wawa..to make it sound more feminine since Wawa is a girl.

Ensem washing his mouth..this is the cutest part of him..comeynyeee

Ensem and Wawa having dinner (i don't know the veggies name) but seems they both share the same taste in food. They look nice together..You can see the hands and it belongs to Aiman(my little brother).

This is our Ensem

Tada! This is my Ensem..cute isn't he?

Naughty Ensem

Today is the 3rd day we live with Ensem..well Ensem still a boy but i didn't expect him to be so naughty. He is just too cute to get angry with. If he's out of his cage..he will hopping everywhere and leave his droppings along. Well rabbit is a very clean animals so am not worried by that. The thing is when he start to leave his urine outside of his cage.

From article about rabbits care..they said that rabbits is a very intelligent animals. So they're easy to train.. Here some of instructions that i got from the website How To Do Just About Everything. Am on my way on training Ensem hoping he could be a better rabbit(long live Ensem..we LOVE u!))

How to Train Your Rabbit

By eHow Pets Editor

Rabbits are incredibly intelligent creatures. Many teach themselves to use a litter box; others need a bit of guidance. Most rabbits learn after just a short period of repetition to understand certain words, phrases, or commands. Don't expect them to obey you every time, however, because their intelligence also propels them to make their own decisions. Many's the time I've felt I could see them considering a decision only to reject it. Rabbits are fiercely independent creatures.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Always use positive feedback; praise your rabbit. Do not criticize, scold, or hit; this will only serve to alienate your rabbit.

Step2
Speak softly and gently to your rabbit to induce him to listen to you.

Step3
Use repetition. For example, when you want to litter box train your rabbit, you might say the following while letting the rabbit smell the contents of the litter box: 'Do pebbles, Smokey. Do pebbles.' Or 'Do puddle, Smokey. Do puddle.'

Step4
Don't force your rabbit to do something. Just guide him and let him go, if he resists or tries to hop away.

Step5
Spend at least an hour or two each day for one or two weeks working on the new behavior with your rabbit.

Step6
Remember that rabbits are rabbits. They are not cats or dogs or any other animal, so they will not act like any other animal. They will only manifest rabbit behavior.

Whats cookin..?

Prawn..me and my auntie (i called her MOKCIK, using Kuala Kangsar accent) had discussed about whats good for cooking prawn. She told me that butter prawn(a famous cuisien since late 90's) taste good. The thing is i never try this dish and i didnt know the recipe either..

So on the next day i took an efford to surf the web for a recipe of butter prawn. I wish i could try it at home on weekend. But since i've bought Ensem..i couldnt spend much time on preparing the ingredients. Am sorry mokcik for disappointing you. But i promise i'll try the recipe next time and i will cook it specially for you ok :D

This are the recipe for butter prawns:

Ingredients

1 lb large prawns
Oil for deep frying
3 tablespoons butter
6 bird's eye chilies (chopped)
3 sprigs of curry leaves (use only the leaves)
3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
6 tablespoons of grated coconut (dry fried until golden brown)

Leave the prawn heads and shells on but chop off the eyes part. Slit down the back to remove the veins. Pat dry. Heat oil and deep fry the prawns. Drain and set aside.

Melt the butter, add bird's eye chilies, curry leaves, garlic, salt and fry for 2 minutes or until fragrant. Add prawns, sugar, soy sauce, wine, and grated coconut. Cook over high heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve immediately.

Recipe adapted from "The Food of Malaysia: Authentic Recipes from the Crossroads of Asia."(http://www.rasamalaysia.com)

Open House at End of Syawal

Last Saturday i've made an appointment with ENT specialist. We go to Darul Ehsan Medical Centre (DEMC) at section 9 Shah Alam. Both of my parents plus my little sister anah a.k.a tepet are with me that day. Abah had a few open house invitation on the same day so i had to follow him since am with them from the beginning.

The 1st house located at section 10 Shah Alam..a friend of abah which his daughter appear to be anah's best friend. Theres a lot of special menu. One of them is Roast Lamb..which happend to be my favourite dish. Well actually One of my favourite.

The 2nd house located at section 11, a very large house. Bungalow lot. The food not as fancy as the 1st house but it still have its own specialities. Now only our stomach already full we couldnt eat much.

The 3rd house placed far away to Kuala Selangor. This is very special friend of abah and ummi because they've known each other since 1984, in sunderland, UK. I cant remember the makcik but she remember me very well. This because of the eldest in my family. So we spent most of the evening here..it is like a family reunion to both of my parents and the host..

I am having a great time plus good food. Can't wait for the next eid..hoping the next eid will be more meaningfull with the person i love ;>

For the time being..am happy with my family.

A Rabbit?

Well actually i just bought my rabbit after worked on Friday. I've already watched the rabbits from the pet shop everyday before. This is because i got to past that pet shop before i could go to the grocery shop which is located just after this pet shop. The uncle(a Chinese old man) of the shop put the rabbits outside. And i will play with them everyday until i decided last month to own one of those rabbits.

I asked (via sms n calls) everyone including ummi, my sister DEB, Tepet and my little brother aiman and they all agreed except ummi. She wants me to take the full responsibilities and she does not want to get involved. But i just couldnt hold myself..and then when i realise i already bought a RABBIT..omg this creature they're just too cute to let go. MashaAllah..

His name is ENSEM which is originally from an english word HANDSOME means very good looking. So here i am now with ensem as well as other pets, Man(toman-a fish), OOen(cat) and a very fury lobster that doesnt have any name.

I'll put the picture of him next time for everyone to see..i pray to Allah that my Ensem always be in a healthy condition as well as our other pets..

Work, the Beginning

Work and working.. am into another phase of life after the educational phase. Which i always imagine, challenging and risky. So how am going to survive? I will not know until i try. So i pray to Allah to help me and guide me to get through this 'road of life'.

I remember something from the web about work that i read recently.. It's about the concept of work in Islam, that in Islam work is given special importance to the extend that it is as an act of worship in itself. Because Islam is a religion of worshiping the creator, with an essential part of that worship being working for survival. Allah tells us in the Quran to traverse the universe and make use of all the abundant resources that have been created for us.

Then the quran directs a message to humanity that it should contribute positively to the earth, that is, it should work to make use of what is created for its benefit:

[ That man can have nothing but what he strives for; That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete. ]
(An-Najm 53:39-41)
One more thing about the concept of work in Islam that Islam orders its followers to be part and parcel of a working and productive society. The Qur’an says what means:

[and help one another in goodness and piety, and do not help one another in sin and aggression; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah.]
(Al-Ma’idah 5:2)
This tells us that we need to strike balance between worship and work and also not to forget our responsibilities to the society (means our Ummah). This remind us a lot of things that we used to forgot. We only thing work is for ourselves while the truth it is not. Working is about everything in Islam. So let's work everyone..

Importance of name in Islam

Something to share..especially to all Muslims parents will be and all Muslims parents wannabe. About the importance of giving a good name with a good meaning for your children. Living in the world of different norms and culture will also contribute to the naming of the child. And some of us thinks that name shows nothing for their babies, what is important is how they broad the child's up, the environment, the education and etc. The truth is, the name DOES matter..inline with other needs as stated before.

As for a reminder (this include myself)..It is reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"On the Day of Resurrection, you will be called by your names and by your fathers' names, so give yourselves good names."
(Hadith Abu Dawud)

Remember, just because a name stems from a certain language or culture, doesn't mean that it has a good Islamic meaning. The Hadith also prove the importance of name for Muslims babies. Several of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) changed their own Arabic names, because the meanings of their names connoted wickedness.
For example, someone named Harb ("war") had his name changed to Silm ("peace"), and one named Al-Munba'ith ("one who lies") became Al-Mudtaji' ("one who stands up," i.e. for the truth).

Here is some of the good name that keep coming on my mind, i am thinking about giving it to my future child(its a girl's name though..later for boys).

Awatif means Emotions
Widad/Widaad means Love, Friendship
Nahwan (but i couldn't remember the meaning of it)

So, let's give our child a good Islamic name.

As for the beginning

This is a poems that i found from a website called i luv islam.com. Its about friendship and in bahasa melayu. Maybe next time i will write my own poems.

" Sesekali jadilah kawan yang
mendengar dari yang hanya bercerita,
ambillah masa u
ntuk
memahami hati dan perasaan
kawan,
kerana dia juga seorang manusia,
dia juga ada rasa
takut,
ada rasa bimbang,
sedih dan kecewa,
dia juga ada kelemahan dan dia juga perlukan kawan
sebagai kekuatan,
jadilah kita kawan
nya itu,
kita selalu melihatnya ketawa,
tetapi mungkin sebenarnya
dia tidak setabah yang kita sangka.
disebalik senyumannya itu,
banyak cerita sedih yang ingin diluahkan,
disebalik ketenangannya mung
kin tersimpan seribu
kekalutan,
kita tidak tahu....tetapi
jika kita cuba jadi sahabat seperti dia
mungkin kita akan tahu. "
